my first glue

Would be nice if we could see the glues of others. For inspiration, education and fun. I just started http://herintreder.org/hotglue/start/. Rather boring, but who knows where it will lead :).
I'm still thinking about 'why?'.

Three questions: But maybe i am missing out some common commands...

i am working on a several layer site which are all overlapping.

1. Unfortunately i cannot figure out how to grap hold of one of the lower levels. is there some kind of layerwalking?

2. And is it possible, without wandering to the edges, to no-onesland, to create a new text or layerbox directly ontop of another layer?

3. somehow, once i have created a layer, i cannot change the background colour of the basic site anymore.

1: in the current version of hotglue you can only grab the objects on the top layer, i.e. the ones you can point with your mouse pointer to. if you need to get to an object which is under another object (hidden) you have to move the object above first and then grab the one you need. we are thinking of a neat solution to allow picking object in different layers. it comes in version 0.2
2: you have to create a new text object elsewhere in the free space and then drag in over. there is a "background/foreground tool" for changing order of layers (works by holding and dragging over the button)
3: you mean the you can not change the background of the page? works here. can i see that page?

aha, i see, indeed it must be frustrating to move all the layers before you can get to the one on the bottom... may be arrange them in such an order that the smallest one is at the front and biggest at the back?

probably you can not change the background color because there is no empty space left for you to get the "double-click" (main) menu, is it so? then just press "q" and the menu will appear in the middle of the screen. "x" is for the "single click" menu.
